Monkey Business
Written, directed and headlined by Yasir Hussain, Monkey Business is a farcical comedy that satirises the struggles of aspiring actors entangled in a phishing scam. Hussain plays Wasim, a struggling actor whose life spirals into chaos after a call from an investigation officer about misused funds.
The narrative unfolds through a series of comedic events that lay bare the absurdities of showbiz and the hypocrisies of society. Planned for just ten days, the play stayed houseful at the Arts Council Karachi for thirty, on the strength of its writing and performances.
